Stay cool in the shade STOBAG has developed and produced textile awnings systems for more than 40 years. The product groups cover a full awning programme for exterior applications, including the necessary electric drives and controls as well as security shutters to protect against burglaries. The Stobag product line is constantly expanded and adapted to present architectural needs. Swiss manufacturing assures a constantly high quality level.
Production The development and production plant are located in Muri/Switzerland. The complete production, storage, and office space comprises more than 27’000 m². 300 qualified employees produce and sell the necessary components for more than 120’000 awnings per year.
Textile sun protection systems (awnings) The large choice for various applications ranges from a basic awning for balconies to a multitude of back bar awnings with folding or telescopic arms as well as side shades and mobile awnings. Vertical awnings and drop arm or combination awnings with their dead weight or spring tension are specially adapted for facades. A full programme for awnings for conservatories for horizontal or vertical application as well as awnings for large areas (up to 100m²), developed against the sun or rain, round up the comprehensive range. Practically all types of awnings can be equipped with electric drive and sun/wind automation.
Crime prevention The second product group contains the security shutter SECURE. An approved and recommended break-in and vandal proof protection for use in private homes as well as in commercial locations (banks, insurance companies, etc.). The security shutter SECURE, developed by STOBAG, is available with three different types of lamellas. It is recommended for new constructions as well as for renovation work.
Electric drives and controls A further product range, consisting of various tubular motors (radio controlled or BUS compatible) and expandable control systems, assure highest comfort. The appropriate control provides for the automatic use of the awnings. An ideal climate can be achieved with the sun-/wind and rain sensors and by sudden changes in the weather an optimal protection for the awning is granted.
Quality STOBAG products command high acceptance in the market, due to constant innovation and a high quality standard. They are sold, installed and maintained by more than 2000 approved dealers throughout the world. Many own developments are patented. A permanent exhibition in Muri/Switzerland, of more than 300 m², displays all products – installed and ready for use.
